Introducing Pages

At Movement, we’ve always believed in the power of technology to drive progressive change. That’s why we’ve built a solution that lets you grow support for your cause by talking to people where they are across WhatsApp, email, SMS and phone calls. And now we’ve added action pages to that system of contact points too.

With a wealth of experience in digital campaigning, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial it is to give people the tools they need to take action. From petitions and surveys to multi-channel outreach, we’ve watched these tools evolve and empower millions across the globe. But today, we’re excited to announce something we think of as a bit revolutionary: Pages.

Why Pages?

For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with pioneering digital campaigning organisations like 38 Degrees, GetUp, SumOfUs, and MoveOn. These experiences have taught me what works, what doesn’t, and where we can innovate to make a real difference.

One of the most critical lessons I’ve learned is that the tools we use to engage people need to be both powerful and easy to use. Whether it’s crafting a petition, running a survey, or organising an event, it’s vital that campaigners have platforms that allow them to do this with ease, while also offering the flexibility to build complex, tailored experiences when needed.

More than that, campaigners need these tools to work in tandem with each other as a unified experience. Whether that means someone signs a petition, and their ‘reason for signing’ becomes a personalised call to action on the donation page. Or a follow-on survey that includes a question about being personally affected, and this triggers a series of communications designed to help someone feel comfortable with sharing their story and speaking to the media to increase the impact.. We need tools that get the most from our support, in order to win campaigns.

That’s where Movement Pages comes in.

What is Pages?

Pages is a versatile, intuitive module built into the Movement platform, designed to create highly personalised, interactive action pages for progressive campaigns, trade unions, and political parties. In fact, personalisation is at the core of this product. At Movement we aim to build human experiences with technology and Pages does just that. You can use conditional content to show the most relevant information to the reader based on their data, right down to a personalised call to action based on the reason they supported the campaign in the first place. We know this level of personalisation can dramatically increase both page conversion and long term engagement. Whether you’re growing your list by collecting signatures on a petition, encouraging people to join an event, or empowering your supporters to take part in a government consultation survey, Pages gives you all the tools you need to engage effectively.

We’ve designed Pages to empower both beginners and advanced users to create and manage powerful campaign pages without the need for extensive technical knowledge. But we haven’t stopped there.

What truly sets Pages apart is its level of customisation. For those who want even more flexibility, Pages includes advanced customisation options that give you complete control over how your actions look, flow and function. You can create entirely new templates with with just a little CSS to allow total control over the actions you build.

Key features:

  • A flow of actions: Pages isn’t just a stand alone page for people to sign, it works as part of a system. Daisy chain a number of actions together for your end-user based on their past behaviour and interests. If someone’s already a monthly donor, there’s no reason to ask them to become one again, but it could be the perfect time for an upsell. If someone’s shared your cause on whatsapp three times this month, let’s trigger a whatsapp voice note from the CEO thanking them and asking them to become a volunteer. Target and personalise, and create a full experience.

  • Out-of-the-box professional templates: Get started quickly with ready-to-use templates that are optimised with best practice to increase the number of actions taken and the success of your campaign.

  • No coding required: Pages can be used without any knowledge of HTML or CSS. We’ve made it easy for everyone to get started.

  • Brand integration capabilities: Keep your campaign’s identity consistent by easily integrating your logo, colours, and messaging.

  • Full customisation options: For advanced users, Pages offers a range of customisation possibilities. Completely customise layout, structure and functionality to create a whole new action page for your end-user.

  • Flexible page structure and layout options: Tailor your page’s structure to suit your campaign needs. Whether you need a simple sign-up form or a detailed survey, Pages adapts to your vision.

Advanced functionality:

Pages doesn’t just stop at the basics. We’ve built-in powerful features that allow for advanced personalisation and dynamic user experiences.

  • Dynamic step sequencing: Adjust the flow of your pages to guide users through a tailored experience. Include multiple dynamic steps to maximise the number of actions, donations and shares -  you can design the journey they’ll take.

  • Personalisation capabilities: Target users with content based on their interests, donation status, or even previous interactions with your campaign. Deliver the right message to the right people at the right time.

  • Custom user experience paths: Create unique experiences based on the actions users take, leading them down different paths to increase their engagement level and action taking.

  • Custom fields: A powerful feature of Movement, custom fields allow you to pull an audience of people together based on a shared characteristic, survey responses and more, meaning you can target specific groups or demographics, based on things like geography or interests.

The advantage of Movement

What sets Pages apart is that it’s fully integrated into the Movement platform. This means that all your data, communication and campaign tools are in one place, making it easier to automate and track progress, increasing engagement and impact across your supporter base. It might start with a classic campaign email, they might take an action or two on your site, then receive a personal WhatsApp message with a follow on action, before talking to a volunteer based nearby over the phone about getting more involved. Ultimately higher, real engagement means more actions and more donations. This is what Movement brings about.

We’ve put a great deal of emphasis on a user-friendly interface. From visual previews while editing to an intuitive drag-and-drop layout system, you don’t need to be a technical expert to create effective campaign pages. That’s the beauty of Pages—whether you’re creating your first petition or managing a global campaign, Pages is designed to grow with you.

A tool to drive engagement in your campaign

In a time when the digital landscape is constantly evolving, we know that staying ahead means providing progressive movements with the tools to succeed. That’s why we created Movement in the first place, a modular tool that allows you to grow support for you cause by reaching people where they are, across a number of channels including WhatsApp, email, phones and SMS.

Pages is our answer to the growing demand for more interactive, engaging, and personalised experiences that can mobilise people and grow their lists in new and exciting ways.

As someone who has spent years working in digital activism, I’m incredibly excited to see how this new tool will empower campaigns around the world. The future of campaigning is here, and with Pages, we’re ready to help you make a lasting impact.
